If you wish to serve alcoholic beverages at Brix Studio, then you are required to obtain a special event permit and provide a copy to Brix Studio prior to your event. Apply online at  https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/employment-business/business/liquor-regulation-licensing/liquor-licence-permits/apply-for-liquor-licence-permit/special-event-permit

Property and accident insurance are the responsibility of each group/person using the Brix Studio facilities.

If you don't have an existing provider, you can purchase online event insurance at EventPolicy.ca and select "Brix Studio" under the "Get Started" menu.

Brix Studio is approximately 1,300 square feet, and can comfortably accommodate up to 36 people in pods, or 50 theatre style, or 90 reception style. See floor plans

More than 60 days before the event: Deposit is fully refundable.

Between 60 and 31 days of the event: 50% of base fee will be charged.

Less than 30 days' notice of cancellation: 100% of base fee will be charged (no refund).

Brix Studio is conveniently located on several main bus routes and parking rates are lower than that of other areas downtown Vancouver. The closest bus stops to us run on the #3, #4, #7, #8, #14, #16, #20, and #50 routes. We are also within a 10 minute walk from Stadium/Chinatown Skytrain Station and the Waterfront Skytrain Station/Canada Line.

Parties: For evening and weekend parties where liquor will be served, we charge a cleaning fee of $250. Parties must end by 1pm to midnight

Brix Studio is proudly situated in the Commercial Block Building.  The southern part of the building, comprised of nine bays, was designed by architect William Blackmore and constructed by Hunter Brothers Construction and J. Rogers in 1893. The later three-storey addition to the north, comprised of four bays, was most likely built between 1905 and 1908.

To secure your Brix Studio booking, we require payment in advance. Our payment options, include cheques, e-transfer, and all major credit cards.

Brix Studio is not available as a film location to shoot commercials, television shows, or movies.
